FAQ

I believe the most effective treatment comes from working together with your healthcare providers, and I’m always happy to collaborate with your medical team. If you already have a referral from your doctor, chiropractor, physician assistant, or APRN, I’ll gladly add it to your file. However, having a referral isn’t required for your first appointmentβ€”Texas is a direct-access state, so you can begin physical therapy without one. Just keep in mind that if you wish to continue treatment after your initial evaluation, you’ll need to provide a referral within 10 business days.
Please plan to arrive 10–15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow time for paperwork. We will need to make copies of your driver's license and insurance card(s). If you have a doctor’s prescription, please bring it with you or have your provider fax it over. Additionally, bring any relevant X-rays, MRI or surgery reports, as well as a current list of medications and any drug allergies.

When you arrive at the clinic, you'll be welcomed into a private treatment space where we’ll review your health history, intake paperwork, current concerns, and what you hope to achieve with On Track Physical Therapy. Your therapist will then perform a thorough assessment tailored to your specific needs. Based on the findings, a personalized treatment plan will be created, and if needed, referrals to other specialists may be suggested to support your recovery. The first visit is your evaluation which usually takes about an hour.
Once your evaluation is complete, your therapist will review the areas needing attention and design a personalized plan of care (POC) to address pain relief and improve your mobility. This plan will also be sent to your referring provider. After your initial appointment, we’ll set up your follow-up visits, aiming to find times that best fit your schedule. Typically, sessions are held 2-3 times per week.
Your initial visit will be an hour-long evaluation, and each follow-up treatment session lasts about 60 minutes.
Most patients attend physical therapy two to three times per week for about four to six weeks. Our priority is to help you return to your everyday activities as swiftly as possible.
While we primarily operate as a cash-based physical therapy practice, we also accept most major insurance plans. For detailed information regarding our cash-based pricing and to confirm if your insurance is accepted, please contact us at 281-246-0103 or email us admin@ontrackphysicaltherapy.com
Active participation in your recovery is essential. Following the prescribed home exercises and postural guidelines provided by your therapist play a critical role in achieving optimal results. It’s normal to experience some mild pain and/or soreness as your body adapts to new movements, but this does not indicate a worsening of your condition. Please keep your therapist informed if you notice any significant changes or increased discomfort, so your treatment plan can be adjusted as needed. Your therapist will monitor your progress at each visit and communicate updates to your referring provider to ensure continuity of care.
Your active participation is essential for success. Be prepared to move, communicate openly about how you're feeling, and stay consistent with any home exercises or recommendations I provide.
